The Newfoundland dory is a flat-bottomed boat with flaring sides and a small stern. They were rowed but, in spite of the fact that they had no keel, they could also be sailed.

I have been enjoying your pictures for a few weeks now, and this photo of the dory is a perfect example of "less is more." Just love the subtle tones of this photo. The word "pristine" comes to mind.
