Ice Sentinel - Cape Spear
Spring brings to the eastern shore of Newfoundland many spectacular icebergs. In spite of the long journey down from Greenland, they are still quite colossal and awe inspiring. I never tire of photographing them. This castle of ice is seen off Cape Spear, photographed through my wide angle lens. My vantage point was the location of the 2002 movie ' Rare Birds '' starring John Hurt and Molly Parker. As you can see, the director had chosen a place of wild scenic beauty for the movie.
